Seinfeld
I was just watching a Seinfeld episode where George learns that his new girlfriend likes him no matter how he looks. And I love that he's offended (until he realizes he can wear velvet jogging suits.)

Celebuwatch Foolishness
I can choose my cable channels, and I recently chose some random entertainment channel (Star) because of an upcoming novel I'll be working on.
So I tuned into some show called TMZ when Am Idol was boring me and, yikes, this is yellow journalism at its worst. The way they film the show is to film the various journalists/researchers in their office all together, calling out to their boss what new story they've got. So you see all these people laughing and crowing over their stupid stories.
Example: Guy holds up photo of chick bending over. "See this photo? Guess whose ass it is!" Join us after the break. After the break: "It's Katherine McPhee picking up her dog's poop! Woo!"
The rest of the stories appeared to consist of journalists following stars around and harassing them. Good Lord. Not sure I can handle this level of celeb watching.

what's new?
Quick check-in with bastardly.com... ah, apparently it's turned into a "hot or not?" site. Women can send in photos of themselves and be rated and commented upon. Wow. Despite the fact that they're mostly about "wee! check out the hot chickies!"
I wonder how much of their readership is actually male and how much of it is female.
